Catawba County Commissioner achieves recognition from NCACC for dedication to professional development

Catawba County Commissioner Kitty W. Barnes was recognized by the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners for meeting the requirements for the Mentor level in the Local Elected Leaders Academy. The highest level of recognition, a Mentor has completed a minimum of 82 credits (18 orientation credits + 42 focused in-depth credits + 24 elective credits) of continuing education since becoming a county commissioner.
