Home-school student earns CVCC degree with Career and College Promise Scholars program

Opportunity is what you make of it and Hickory home-school student Bailey Hartman is an example of what happens when a student takes the Career and College Promise Scholars program to the limit.

Hartman recently earned both her high school diploma and a Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) associates in arts degree along with her Certified Nursing Assistant license. She plans on continuing her undergraduate education at Wake Technical College then Appalachian State University, culminating with a master’s in nursing at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill within the next four to five years.
