Success in today’s global economy requires a two-or four-year degree, a certificate or diploma. If you are a qualified North Carolina high-school-age student, Career & College Promise gives you the opportunity to pursue these options—tuition free! This is your chance to get a jump start on your workplace and college preparation.

CCP provides three pathways to help advance your post-high school success:

  • Career Technical Education Pathway:  Leads to a certificate or diploma aligned with a high school Career Cluster.
  • College Transfer Pathway:  The Career and College Promise College Transfer Pathways allow qualified high school juniors and seniors to complete up to 35 semester hours credit tuition free. Classes identified in the Career and College Transfer Pathways will transfer seamlessly (with a course grade of C or higher) to any North Carolina public university as well as participating private colleges/universities.
  • Cooperative Innovative High School Program (Challenger Early College High School):  Based on the campus of Catawba Valley Community College, Challenger allows students to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree in approximately 5 years.
