The Catawba Valley Community College Small Business Center is presenting a series of social media seminars to assist entrepreneurs and small businesses market and build their business during October.
On Monday, October 17 the Small Business Center will present “Social Media Marketing” from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at CVCC’s Corporate Development Center in Hickory. This seminar shows how many small businesses are using social media to market their business, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and newer platforms. The seminar also discusses the best way to incorporate photos and videos into these platforms.
On Thursday, October 20 the Small Business Center will present “Marketing Your Business with Facebook” from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Taste Full Beans Coffee House in downtown Hickory. Participants will learn how to set up a Facebook business page as well as information about Facebook promotions, advertisements, and how to increase on-line visibility.
On Monday October 24 the Small Business Center will present “Making an Impact with Social Media” from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at CVCC’s Corporate Development Center in Hickory. This session focuses on social media strategy, with tips and tactics to use social media productively to increase on-line exposure and grow sales. Participants develop their own social media marketing plan of actions for their business.
On Wednesday October 26 the Small Business Center will present “Using Paid On-Line Ads to Grow Your Business” from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at CVCC’s Corporate Development Center in Hickory. This session explores options to advertise using online resources through major platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, as well as Google ad words.
There is no charge to attend these seminars, but pre-registration is required. Participants can register for individual seminars, or the entire series.
