Students learn confidence, recipes from culinary class

Learning to cook while learning to teach has been the focus of Bunker Hill High students in Brittany Moose’s Culinary Arts I class this semester.

The students created a chicken fettuccine alfredo dish and documented the entire process to create power point presentations they could share with others. This is the eighth year for the culinary program at the school, and Moose is always looking for new ways to enhance the experience.

While it’s all about cooking on the surface, the program also builds up students’ self confidence and creates a niche some might not have otherwise at the school.
