CommScope Inc. announced on Thursday they will purchase ARRIS International Plc. in an all-cash transaction of $31.75 per share or $7.4 billion, including debt repayment.
CommScope, founded in 1971, is a network infrastructure provider based in Hickory. The company employs approximately 1,500 people in Catawba County and has more than 20,000 employees worldwide.
