The Catawba County Schools (CCS) Board of Education voted to endorse a “bold proposal” Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) President Garrett Hinshaw made during a CCS meeting Tuesday.
Called K-64, the plan is to create a partnership between all three local public school systems in the county along with CVCC, other higher education institutions, area industry and business leadership, county government and economic development organizations. The objective is to provide all students with equal opportunities to be college and career ready.
