Enrollment open for CVCC’s 10-Week Manufacturing Academy – Session beginning January 25

Catawba Valley Community College is currently accepting applicants for the next session of its highly successful 10-week Manufacturing Academy.

The training prepares participants for a career in the local manufacturing industry. Program content was developed by 25 local companies to teach core knowledge and work skills most desired by local manufacturers.

Classes take place Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at CVCC’s Corporate Development Center. The syllabus covers manufacturing fundamentals, problem solving, teamwork and communication, lean manufacturing, math and measurements. In addition, students will tour area manufacturers, interact with local employers, and complete the OSHA 10 course requirements.

The cost of the program is $250; some scholarships are available.
