Entrepreneurial spirit of Steve Jobs, Apple apparent in Edison competition

As a child of the 1980s, I remember spilling my popcorn as my mouth dropped open and eyes literally bugged out while watching Apple’s commercial during the 1984 NFL Super Bowl.

It introduced the Macintosh personal computer, and like everyone else, I was in awe of this new image of the world where uniformity was torn down and replaced with an explosion of creativity.

If you’re too young or have never seen it, look the commercial up on YouTube. While I admit I don’t remember who won the game, Apple’s vision and passion for this product still resonate with me.
