$1.7 million from the One North Carolina Small Business Program has been awarded to 29 small companies across 13 North Carolina communities, including one in Hickory.
The companies will use the funds to develop new products, hire additional employees and purchase equipment and materials.
Advanced Hydrogen Technologies in Hickory was awarded a $65,000 grant. The funds will go toward a project intended to develop new materials for human joints. The company is located at 1055 Southgate Corporate Park S.W.
North Carolina’s Office of Science, Technology & Innovation is still accepting grant applications for the 2017 fiscal year. For more information, click here.
