During its November meeting, the K-64 board approved a financing plan for $430,000 from Peoples Bank to fund a one-to-world technology pilot program, providing a Chromebook for every seventh-grader in Catawba County.
The board had put out a request for bids for financing the project. Peoples Bank had the lowest bid with a five-year amortization at 2.75 percent interest.
