McCrory announces Corning expansion, sinkhole “action plan”

Gov. Pat McCrory announced that Corning Optical Communications will create 105 new jobs in Hickory.

The 105 new jobs in Hickory is part of a 205 job expansion by Corning which also includes 100 jobs in Winston-Salem.

“This is a very, very strong signal from a very, very important company that they are going to continue to invest in North Carolina,” McCrory said.
